Distinctive guitar stolen in Wolverhampton burglary

Police today released an image of a distinctive guitar which was stolen along with a vehicle in a burglary in Wolverhampton.

The acoustic guitar, a black Fender FR50, is distinctive as the owner had fitted a silver truss rod cover at the head of the instrument.

The guitar was stolen from a building in the back garden of a property in Blackhalve Lane, Wednesfield between 10.30pm on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday.

The thieves also stole a white VW Scirocco car, registration BK59 XWA from the driveway of the house.

Dc Emily Sparkes from Force CID said; "The thieves broke into the house and stole the keys to the car while the occupants were asleep. Police are currently investigating the break-in and theft and appealing for any witnesses to the crime."

She added: "The guitar stolen is very distinctive and we are hoping someone may recognise the instrument and come forward with information."
