Council tax to rise by 1.9pc in April
Council tax for residents across Lichfield, Burntwood and Chasetown will increase by 1.99 per cent from April, it has been announced.

By keeping the increase at less than two per cent, Lichfield District Council bosses have avoided a costly referendum asking taxpayers if they would be willing to pay more.
It comes after Cannock Chase District Council confirmed it will not put up its share of the bill.
