A Wolverhampton brothel has been closed down in what police believe is a Black Country first.

The brothel was in a flat above a parade of shops off Tettenhall Road, Chapel Ash.
Police and magistrates have intervened to shut the brothel in what is believed to be the first Black Country closure order on premises used for sex.
Residents complained to police who raided the flat and it has now been closed by magistrates until April 2014.
Pc Daniel Benton from Wolverhampton Police said: "People do not want this on their doorstep and we were determined to take action."
