Star Witness: Power and the glory in focus
With its atmospheric blue skyline and burning furnaces, this stunning photograph of Ironbridge power station was taken from the top of the Wrekin.
It is the work of reader David Tomlinson, who only took up photography in September last year.
Mr Tomlinson, who is from Wordsley, started photography so that he could take better pictures at his daughter's wedding.
The 54-year-old taught himself the basic techniques by watching videos on You Tube.
But the practice has clearly paid off, judging by this image he captured earlier this month.
He said: "The sky was clear when I left work, so I thought I'd take pictures of star trails at the top of the Wrekin. It clouded over when I got up there, but I took this picture instead.
"It was brilliant. I thought 'Well I've got to share it'."
Mr Tomlinson, who runs a garage, took the picture using a Canon EOS 600D.
He added: "I do like the Wrekin. It's a lovely place and I'm quite glad that not many people know about it. Everything's just lovely from up there."
Ironbridge power station is one of the most recognisable sights on the Shropshire skyline.
It stands near to the Gorge World Heritage Site. The station is currently the only major generator of electricity for the country and consumes around 1.2 million tons of coal a year.
The Wrekin helps to provide the perfect vantage point to capture the power station's cooling towers.
