Tributes paid to 'hero' Wednesbury man

Tributes have been paid to a man from Wednesbury whose death sparked a murder inquiry.

Matthew Dunn, aged 23, died after being found seriously injured at a house in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

His family today described him as "everyone's hero".

A family spokesperson said: "No words can describe the pain and hurt all the family and friends of Matthew are going through, we are all proud to have had Matthew as a part of our family.

"He didn't deserve to have his life taken from us so tragically. Matthew is and always will be everyone's hero, we will make sure Matthew's life wasn't taken in vain."

Mr Dunn worked at Amari Plastics in Black Country New Road in Wednesbury.

James Burton, aged 31, of Parry Close in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, has appeared at Loughborough Magistrates' Court charged with Mr Dunn's murder.

He is also charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, arson with intent, threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon.

Burton has been remanded into custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Monday February 10.
