Plucky Kidderminster Harriers knocked out of FA Cup - As it happened
[gallery] Kidderminster Harriers left the Stadium of Light with their heads held high, after being narrowly beaten by their Premier League opponents.
Harriers couldn't pull off the FA Cup shock of the season against Sunderland, but gave their supporters much to be proud of as they were beaten 1-0 in the north-east.
Around 3,500 fans made the trip with the team, hoping to cause an upset, but Andy Thorn's side were beaten by an early Charis Mavrias goal.
Despite the loss, the team was given strong support from their travelling fans who were vocal throughout the game.
Reporter Alex Ross joined the thousands of Kidderminster fans on the trip to Sunderland for the FA Cup Fourth Round game:
At the final whistle, the fans praised their team.
Adrian Little, 41, from Kidderminster, said: "The team played very well, I don't think they deserved to lose and they did themselves and the Conference proud."
And Martin Norwood, 51, from Whittington in Shropshire, said: "We adapted really well to playing a superior team. It's just a shame we couldn't get that goal we needed."
Thousands of Kidderminster fans had woken up early to attend the game, driving up or boarding one of the dozens of coaches which left Aggborough from 8am.
Supporters arrived outside the Stadium of Light from 1am. Many took pictures outside a huge Sunderland club crest at the entrance to the ground.
