Bosses at Wolgarston High School in Penkridge have launched an investigation into the blaze, which led to smoke-logging.

Firefighters – some of whom were former pupils – were called to the Cannock Road school at 3.10pm to find a cubicle in boys' toilets in a block used by the sixth form, the humanities, music and science departments had been deliberately set on fire.
