Dry cleaners destroyed in arson attack
A dry cleaning business in the Black Country has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack.
Sinergy Cleaning Company was gutted by the blaze, which took hold at 1.50am last night, while three nearby units were also broken into.
Firefighters forced entry to the building to stop the fire spreading to nearby units in Spring Road Industrial Estate, Ettingshall.
Flames had reached the roof of the unit and took 45 minutes to extinguish.
Up to 20 firefighters from crews in Wolverhampton, Bilston and Dudley tackled the blaze.
Watch commander Tony Bucknall, of Wolverhampton Fire Station, said the damage was so bad that the business had been destroyed.
"We used aggressive tactics to keep the fire in check," he said.
"The alarm was raised by an adjacent company and the building was fully abaze.
"The dry cleaners is completely gutted but due to the swift action of firefighters no other business was affected."
