Baby Anneliese has magic numbers in rare sequence

A baby girl from Sandwell could not have made a more perfectly timed arrival into the world.

Anneliese Clare Lambert was born at just over 8lb at 9.10pm on December 11, 2013, so she has the numbers 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 in numerical order associated with her birth.

Although they were aware of the significance of the date, proud parents Cindy Richards and Jack Lambert did not realise what had happened at first until a midwife pointed out her time of arrival and the sequence of the numbers.

"It's incredible," said Mr Lambert of California Road, Tividale. "I thought she was born at 9.12pm but the midwife said the time of birth is when the head comes out which was 9.10pm, which makes the number sequence longer," he said.

The couple had been hoping that Anneliese would make her big arrival before Miss Richards' 24th birthday which is today.

"We were really pleased when she was born on December 11 and her birth date is very special. She's a beautiful baby," said Mr Lambert, aged 25.

Anneliese, born at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, has a five-year-old brother Tyler and a sister, Tiffanie, four who are delighted to have a younger sister. Their proud grandmother Barbara King, who lives in Walsall, said she was shocked when she found out the number sequence: "It was amazing when we realised, I couldn't believe it.

The newborn's date of birth was also special because December 11, 2013 or 11/12/13, was the last date this century with three consecutive numbers. There are only a handful of them every 100 years.

The next time a consecutive date will occur in the calendar is on February 1, 2103, or 1/02/03. The last two consecutive days were November 10, 2012 or 10/11/12 and October 9, 2011 or 9/10/11.
