Famous faces at NEC as Good Food Show back for 23rd year
Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn was among a star-studded culinary line-up as the BBC Good Food Show Winter opened at the NEC today.
Thousands of food lovers are expected to flock to the show which is back in Birmingham for the 23rd year running.
Familiar faces at the event today included chef and television personality Brian Turner, James Martin, Celebrity MasterChef winner Lisa Faulkner and this year's MasterChef winner
Natalie Coleman. Brian Turner said: "There's a lot to see and do at the show it seems to get better and better each year but there always seems to be something new.
"I enjoy the live shows, but I still get nervous in front of the large crowds."
The winter show will feature more than 50 chefs and experts from across the country on seven different stages.
Highlights include the 'Supertheatre' where visitors can watch their favourite television programmes and chefs in real life with James Martin, The Hairy Bikers, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry due to take to the stage.
New this year will also be The Great British Bake Off Village – an area devoted to all things baking where people can learn new techniques and buy everything needed to bake like the experts.
Meanwhile in the MasterChef MasterClass, visitors will be able to get up close and personal to the hit television show and see favourites from the series demonstrate dishes that can be created at home.
The show runs until Sunday.
