A well-established pub has been put up for sale by its owner who wants to take a break from bar management.

Dean Rock took over the Glasshouse Bar in High Street, Stourbridge, four years ago after selling his half of the now-closed DY5 bar on the Waterfront in Brierley Hill.

But now the 47-year-old wants to take a year out from his job to complete a life-time ambition and join a volunteer project helping the endangered wildlife in Borneo.

He is asking for £45,000 for the remaining 14-year lease of the pub, which was formerly called The Meeting Place.

The father-of-four from Kingswinford said: "If I can go out there and help save one or two of the animals I would be very happy."
