Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service has announced cuts of £4.7 million over the next three years.
In Wyre Forest, they are either removing one of Kidderminster's two fire engines, with the loss of 15 part-time posts, or closing the Bewdley station losing 13 part-time jobs.
An online petition set up by campaigner Chris Edwards has now been signed by 1,208 people.
"The budget plans are designed to save £4.7 million over the next 3 years, however cutting frontline emergency cover is totally unacceptable," he said.
