Jordan Powell, of Tipton, was jailed for 15 months by Gloucester Crown Court on Monday after admitting three counts of misconduct in a public office.

The married father-of-two, based at Kidderminster Police Station, was caught by an undercover officer when his own force became suspicious of him.

And officials from West Mercia Police today confirmed the 31-year-old, of Hurst Lane, would now face a misconduct hearing scheduled for the first week in October.

They said papers had already been served on the disgraced officer in preparation for the hearing which will take place before chief constable David Shaw.

Powell had attempted to formally tender his resignation from the force last month but this had been rejected.

Powell sent the domestic violence victim a string of text messages after meeting her and slept with her six days later. He also admitted sending another female crime victim inappropriate messages.

He was caught when an undercover officer pretended to be a victim of domestic violence called 'Roxy'. He was sent to her home and he texted her soon after.
