Sales worker, 38, named as Wolverhampton Beatties car park fall victim

A sales assistant who died after falling from the car park at Wolverhampton's Beatties department store has been named.

Nazia Bano, of Lynton Avenue, Claregate, Wolverhampton, landed in a loading bay after falling from the car park at around 6.40pm on Friday.

An inquest was opened and adjourned at Smethwick Coroners Court today.

Senior coroner Mr Robin Balmain said: "The circumstances do not appear to be suspicious.

"It appears like she jumped from Beatties car park landing in a loading bay."

Mr Balmain said the 38-year-old was divorced and her car had been found in the car park.

He adjourned the inquest until a later date for further inquiries to be made.
