Rebecca Adlington to give tips at Cannock swimming pool opening
Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington will give swimming lessons to a lucky few when she officially opens a new pool in Staffordshire.
The flagship pool at Chase Leisure Centre in Cannock opened in March after a two-year shutdown and eight months of delays following a revamp.
Miss Adlington will officially open the Stafford Road baths on September 28 alongside Great Britain swimmer Emma Wilkins, who grew up in Cannock.
The pair will also be giving a swimming lesson to a few swimmers, as well as holding a meet and greet session.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm, with Miss Adlington giving a speech at 11.30am. Visitors will have the chance to talk to the star swimmers between 1.30pm and 2.15pm.
There are a limited number of places available for people to take part in the special swimming lessons. Those who wish to take part must book in advance.
