Walsall man, 21, stable after car smash

A man from Walsall who was airlifted to hospital after his car collided with a wall and tree remains in a critical but stable condition.

The accident happened along Hardwick Road, near Streetly, and the 21-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with back and chest injuries.

Emergency services were called at around 12.15pm on Monday and found the Vauxhall Corsa resting on its side.

Police today said the man's injuries were now not believed to be life-threatening and appealed for witnesses.
