Motorcyclist seriously injured in Oldbury crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after he crashed into two parked cars.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Peel Way in Tividale, Oldbury, at around 10.30am on Sunday.

An ambulance and a paramedic area support officer attended the scene.

The man, believed to be aged in his 30s, had a laceration to his head, back pain and a fracture to his right leg.

Ambulance service spokeswoman Claire Brown, said: "Crews administered pain relief to the man to make him more comfortable before they immobilised him with a neck collar, spinal board and leg splint and dressed his head wound.

"The man was taken by land ambulance on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment."
