No contracts have yet been signed, however the company has lodged a planning application with Sandwell Council, looking at two units at the development.

Meanwhile, it has emerged Chinese restaurant chain Real China will create 16 jobs at the site.

Planning documents lodged with the council reveal the buffet eatery will create 10 full time and six part time positions.

New Square opened its doors to shoppers last month.

The development is anchored by a huge Tesco Extra. The co-anchor Primark store will open next month.
