Digital Express & Star points the way, says Joe

Keeping up to date with the local news even when you're away from home is now easier than ever, thanks to the Express & Star digital desktop edition.

During the warmer months, Joe Hubbard enjoys spending weekends at his caravan in Stoke Bliss, near Tenbury Wells, with his wife June.

However, after subscribing to the Express & Star desktop edition Joe is still able to read his favourite local newspaper no matter how far he is from home.

Joe, who is 66 and from Wednesbury, said: "Stoke Bliss is beautiful but fairly remote, and as far as I know the Express & Star isn't on sale anywhere nearby. Having the desktop edition keeps me in the loop with what's happening at home."

Joe particularly likes the page-turning technology which allows him to read the Express & Star as it appears on the printed page, but with the benefits of using his computer. "I could log onto the Express & Star website if I wanted but that's not quite the same as seeing the actual paper," he said.

"Of course, with my digital subscription I'm saving money, too."

The Express & Star desktop edition costs £1.49 per week, £4.99 per month or 69p for one day's access. To try it out go to www.expressandstar.com/digital-subscribe.

A separate app for iPad, Android and Kindle Fire is also available for £4.99 per month (other subscription options are available). For more information, visit expressandstar.com/digital-editions.
