Strike a pose – Olympic star Denise Lewis will perform as singer Beyonce on ITV1 show Your Face Sounds Familiar tonight

But tonight the 40-year-old from Wolverhampton will be putting on a different kind of show when she takes to the stage to impersonate superstar Beyonce.

The West Bromwich-born athlete who grew up in Wolverhampton before winning gold at the heptathlon at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, will be performing on new ITV1 show, Your Face Sounds Familiar, which starts at 7.30pm.

Denise and a host of other celebrities are emulating a range of singers in a bid to win cash for their chosen charities. She has already done turns as Tina Turner, Nicki Minaj and Lenny Kravitz on the show but said she can't wait to emulate the former Destiny's Child star with a performance of Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).

Denise said: "I absolutely adore Beyonce as an artist. She is the ultimate performer, she's beautiful. She puts any dancer to shame."
