Fish are rescued after poison alert from Kidderminster fire

Several hundred fish have been rescued from a canal over fears of contaminated water after a major blaze at a nearby recycling plant.

Environment Agency officials have been working through the night to move the fish from the canal close to Lawrence Recycling plant in Kidderminster.

The plant went up in flames on Sunday. Firefighters are at the scene today and are expected to stay for the rest of the week.
