Firefighter guard of honour for ex-mayor of Dudley

Firefighters formed a guard of honour at the funeral of a long-serving Dudley councillor today on what would have been his 76th birthday.

Published Jun 18, 2013

Hundreds of mourners packed into St Chad's Church in Coseley to pay their respects to Councillor George Davies, who was also a former mayor of Dudley.

He had represented Coseley across five decades and was also a member of the region's fire authority for a quarter of a century.
