Dornier's RAF Cosford arrival delayed by winds

The long-awaited arrival of the last surviving Dornier warplane at RAF Cosford has been delayed again due to strong winds.

It had been hoped that the plane, which had been salvaged from the seabed at Goodwin Sands, off the Kent coast, would be at the RAF Museum at Cosford by this afternoon.

But fierce winds have again prevented the craft, which is waiting at Ramsgate harbour for transportation to the West Midlands, from being loaded up.

The latest delays come as a severe weather warning was made by forecasters in the West Midlands.
