Hunt begins to fill 18 jobs at new Oldbury leisure centre
Recruitment has started for 18 jobs at a new £18 million leisure centre in Oldbury.
The roles, seven full time and 11 part-time, at the new Portway Lifestyle Centre are now up for grabs for positions including leisure attendants, fitness instructors, cleaners and receptionists.
A total of 30 jobs are being created at the centre, in Newbury Lane, but the final 12 will be filled by those transferred from the former Oldbury centre which the new centre replaces.
Mark Wildman, marketing and business manager at Sandwell Leisure Trust, said: "The jobs haven't been available for that long and we have already had a really good response. We are getting applications in all the time.
"It's nice in this climate to have new opportunities to make available for the local community."
There are seven full-time leisure attendant positions available, six part-time cleaner roles, three positions for part-time receptionists, one part-time gym and fitness instructor and one part-time leisure attendant.
The closing date for all of the positions is June 14. People can visit www.slt-leisure.co.uk/jobs for job descriptions and application details.
