1,300 Rugeley homes and businesses without water after pipe damaged
Workmen at the new Tesco store in Rugeley have drilled through a water pipe, leaving 1,300 homes and businesses without supplies today.

Properties in Armitage, Brereton, Handsacre and Rugeley have been affected after a contractor split the pipe in Power Station Road.
South Staffordshire Water spokeswoman Karen Baxter said: "A contractor working on the new Tesco store has split a 12inch main pipe. Over 1,300 homes are without water."
Engineers are currently working to repair the damaged pipe and restore supplies, she added.
