The wrecked Nissan Micra from Tuesday's smash remained abandoned on the grass verge today along the Birmingham New Road at the junction with Shaw Road.
Today's crash, which happened at about 10.10am, involved two cars and blocked one lane out of Wolverhampton while the scene was cleared.
Police said no-one was injured.
The lamppost, which was leaning at an angle after Tuesday's collision, was removed overnight and council chiefs said it was hoped the Micra would be removed today.
