Derren Brown escorted out of Birmingham casino

Illusionist Derren Brown was kicked out of a West Midlands casino after attempting to play Blackjack.

The television star, famous for his illusions and card tricks and predicting the national lottery numbers, was escorted from Broadway Casino in Birmingham.

After being ejected from the Broadway Plaza casino on Saturday, the 42-year-old shared a picture of himself and a member of staff at the casino, on Twitter. He said:

Armed police were called to his Infamous show at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham earlier this month after a man suggested he had a bomb.

Audience members said the man had a large rucksack and repeatedly tried to access the stage. The man, from Birmingham, was later cautioned and released.
