Kidderminster Harriers fans queue for big match tickets

Hundreds of Kidderminster Harriers fans today queued to get their hands on tickets for Sunday's crunch play-off tie.

It came after club officials revealed they had made the Blue Square Premier play-off second leg against Wrexham an all-ticket match following trouble at the Stockport County game last weekend.

Only fans with tickets sold in advance for the second leg game on Sunday afternoon at Aggborough will be admitted.

The ticket rules are being introduced as a result of violence during the team's last game of the league season when Harriers player Lee Vaughan appeared to be assaulted during a pitch invasion by Stockport County fans.

Club spokesman Matt Wall said: "On Sunday, the game against Wrexham will now be all-ticket – people will need to buy a ticket before the game.

"The decision was taken following Saturday's game and is to ensure the health and safety of all supporters who attend the match. We are expecting a large number from Wrexham, more than we saw from Stockport.

"In terms of general organisation in and outside the ground, making the game all- ticket appears to be the right decision to make. We hope we can replicate the high demand we saw and ensure the game runs smoothly."
