Major delays warning after Oldbury electricity fault

People travelling in the Portway Hill area of Oldbury are being warned of major delays tonight.

Temporary traffic lights have been put on Portway Hill today so that an electricity fault can be fixed.

The lights will be manually controlled until 8pm tonight to keep the junction of Newbury Lane and Portway Hill moving. This will also happen in the morning if the problem has not been resolved.

The area is already affected by part of Newbury Lane being closed, from its junction with Wallace Road to A4123 Wolverhampton Road, for utility works for the new Portway Lifestyle Centre and new housing.

Motorists are being diverted via Portway Hill, City Road, A4123 New Birmingham Road.

Visitors to homes, businesses and other properties can still access the area affected by the road closure throughout the works.
