Carl Rubisch, a 30-year-old quantity surveyor, was killed by a shot accidentally discharged by his own gun, police believe.

Mr Rubisch, from Wall, near Lichfield, was in fields in Brockton, Shropshire on Friday evening when he was fatally injured, leaving a widow, Fay, son Callum, who is four, and daughter Phoebe, who is one-and-a-half.

He and his wife had been married just a year but were "childhood sweethearts" who met at school aged 17, Fay said.

Today she told how Carl was "so happy".
