Wolverhampton meals on wheels vans are repaired

Five meals on wheels vans that were left stranded when thieves targeted them were back on the roads in Wolverhampton today after 18 new wheels were delivered.

The vans at the adult training centre in Stowheath Lane, Bilston, were left damaged after the raid and a windscreen was smashed.

But council bosses today said that new wheels have now been fitted. Council spokesman Tim Clark said security patrols had been stepped up at the site.
