Inspectors praised success rates achieved by students, which put the college in the top 10 per cent in the UK. They were also full of praise for its teaching and learning methods. Jatinder Sharma, principal and chief executive at the college, said: "We are incredibly proud of this achievement and delighted that Ofsted has recognised the college as one of the best in the country for outstanding teaching and learning.

"This would not have been possible without the dedication shown by all staff and governors at the college. We have also worked hard to develop strategies to create an inclusive environment that promotes equality and diversity, and this was again highly praised by the inspectors."

Walsall North MP David Winnick said: "Walsall and the wider Black Country, certainly benefits from having such a college."
