The real-life drama of an under-pressure A&E department will be laid bare tomorrow when the Express & Star reports live from New Cross Hospital – for 24 hours.
Our reporters have been granted exclusive access to the department, which is overflowing with 40,000 extra patients per year than it can cope with.
We'll be tweeting from inside A&E from 6am on Friday to 6am on Saturday to reveal the stresses, strains and dramas that unfold each and every day.

The trust which runs the hospital recently announced a £1.5m upgrade to cope with increasing demand, which is seeing patients regularly cared for in corridors.
