Police seize £2.4m of drugs from Tipton industrial unit

More than £2.4 million worth of cannabis plants have been seized from an industrial unit in Tipton.

Police ripped through the shutter doors of the unit on Great Bridge Street with a fork lift truck.

The unit was packed full of around 6,000 cannabis plants – worth about £400 each.

Around seven officers acting on community intelligence stormed the unit at 2pm yesterday.

Two men were discovered inside and were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
