One of the most picturesque properties in the region has gone on the market with offers being invited at £2.5 million.

The Manor House in Oaken, near Codsall, has been put up for sale after the current owners, who have lived there for 25 years, decided to downsize.

A spokesperson for Savills, which is marketing the property, said: "We understand the house was built circa 1800 and that it has always been a residential property.

"It is certainly a charming and beautifully presented property."

One of the luxurious rooms in the traditional Georgian house

The property is a traditional Georgian house set in landscaped gardens with a range of outbuildings. It boasts four double bedrooms.

It also has a reception hall, drawing room, dining room, sitting room, study, kitchen/breakfast room, office, conservatory, utility room, larder, boot room, cloakroom, gardener's cloakroom, cellars and a family bathroom.

The house has full-length sash windows in all of the formal reception rooms. The kitchen overlooks the rear garden and boasts a four-oven Aga with access to a larder. The master bedroom, which is upstairs has a range of built in wardrobes. The property is in band H when it comes to paying council tax.

The house is available in four lots, anyone wanting to purchase them all along with the 81 acres of land will be asked to stump up £2.5m. Those a little more price conscious can just buy the house along with open garages, store, stables, formal gardens, garden folly and a paddock totalling around 10.4 acres for £1.65m.

The remaining lots include three outbuildings, a yard and a paddock, and almost 70 acres of pasture land.
