Robbers wearing wigs target Tipton pawnbrokers
[gallery] Robbers wearing long wigs stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and cash during a raid on a pawnbrokers in the Black Country.
The suspects donned long black wigs to disguise themselves before storming into H and T Pawnbrokers in Great Bridge, Tipton.
The men jumped over the counter before filling a number of bags full of jewellery and a substantial amount of cash.
They then ran out of the shop and drove off in a grey Volvo C30. Police later found the vehicle burned out in Jonah Close, Tipton.
West Midlands Police have today released CCTV images of three men they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.
The raid took place at around 3.15pm on Monday.
Dc Ryan Matthews, from West Midlands Police force CID, said: "The three robbers were wearing unusual wigs and had covered their faces in an attempt to disguise themselves. However, someone may recognise the suspects in the CCTV images and may be able to help our investigation.
"We also want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery and may have seen the vehicle arriving or driving off." Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
