Man dies on Wolverhampton industrial site

A worker died while trying to dismantle a trailer at a Wolverhampton lorry business.

Paramedics and an air ambulance were called to ATE Truck and Trailer Sales in Fordhouses, at 2pm yesterday but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim, who worked for a sub-contractor of the firm, TW Metals, had been using heavy equipment to dismantle a trailer.

The Health and Safety Executive have been informed but police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for ATE said: "The thoughts of everyone at ATE are with the family and friends of the deceased."
