It has large commercial and residential contracts as well as in education, health and leisure. In 2011 made a pre-tax loss of £5,000 on turnover of £12.6 million.

Mark Kelsey, former Roseville Plastering managing director, now of Roseville Contracts, said: "A combination of bad debt, disputed accounts and slow payments put us in a position where we had little choice but to call in the administrators, but we have worked together to save a significant number of jobs and can now start looking to a positive future for the company."

The firm's HQ, Roseville House, at one time a dilapidated hotel, was redeveloped.
