The 12-year-old has risen to the top of the Taiwan charts, leaving One Direction, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift in her wake.

The Streetly schoolgirl has just returned from a three-week tour of the Far East, where her star shows no sign of waning.

Members of the press clamoured to interview the 12-year-old singing sensation

Crowds of journalists, photographers and, of course, fans all flocked to the airport in Taiwan to wait excitedly for her to arrive.

Her album, Beautiful World, is perched on top of the charts there but is also doing well in other parts of Asia.

Sharon Talbot, Connie's mother, said: "Connie's really pleased to be number one.

"She just takes it all in her stride as usual."

The youngster, who made her name on Britain's Got Talent aged just six, jetted out to the Far East early in December and spent Christmas there.
