Emma Bate, aged 26, of Gladstone Street, Birmingham, denies murdering Mr Sherratt, 57, formerly of Stourbridge and Kinver, on June 14 but admits robbing him. Her boyfriend,

Paramjit Singh, 33, of Willmore Road, Birmingham, has admitted robbing and murdering Mr Sherratt at his flat in Bridgnorth.

Judge Simon Tonking said the case against Bate hinged on whether she used physical violence, was present when Singh attacked Mr Sherratt or she foresaw he would be seriously harmed.
