Peter Posh will open its new store in the former Sadliers cafe on Saturday.

The family-run firm already has outlets in Birmingham,Telford and Shrewsbury and its arrival in Wolverhampton will create two or three full time posts and between four and six part-time weekend staff.

Company director Chris Williams said: "We look forward to welcoming local customers and inviting new customers from all over the West Midlands to visit this wonderful location."

Sadliers, which was once voted national coffee shop of the year, shut suddenly in October last year after bailiffs were called in.

The Peter Posh takeover has been welcomed by Tettenhall councillor Jonathan Yardley, who said he hoped it would bring a boost to the village.

He added: "It is in a prominent position and it shows how Tettenhall is flourishing at the moment.

"There are not many empty shops in the village so when one comes up there is a lot of interest and competition."
