The Co-op will open a shop on the site of a former car sales showroom in Chasetown on February 13.
Burntwood Town councillor Helen Fisher said the community was excited to be getting the store and had eagerly watched as it was being built on the corner of Highfields Road and Pool Road.
Danny Flanagan, of Midlands Co-operative Society, added: "Work is well under way at the Chasetown store and we're looking forward to unveiling our latest eco-friendly, modern store."
