Kidderminster-based Mostyn Rangers Football Club rents the site from the college. The total cost of the damage is estimated at around £1,500.

Firefighters from Kidderminster Fire Station were called to the scene at around 11.50am yesterday.

Pc Dan Southan, who was part of the emergency response team which attended, said: "We are investigating this as arson and want to hear about any sightings of people near those facilities on the field there from around 11am.

"A substantial amount of damage has been caused. The grounds can be seen from Burlish Top and any golfers on the adjoining course may have noticed if anyone was there."

Witnesses should call number 101, quoting the incident reference 214-S-160113.
