Delays after Walsall rush hour crashes

Drivers faced delays on busy routes in Walsall during rush hour following two crashes.

Two cars collided on a main route through Walsall at around 5pm yesterday, while a man was taken to hospital after two cars crashed in Brownhills.

Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to the A5 Watling Street, in Brownhills, after a Volkswagon went into the rear of a Rover.

The driver of the Rover had to be cut free by firefighters from Bloxwich and Aldridge and was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital with suspected neck injuries.

Police were at the scene to direct traffic following the crash at around 5.40pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, drivers faced some delays on Green Lane after two cars collided at around 5pm.

Nobody was injured in the crash and traffic was still able to pass by.
