Driver who died near Bewdley named as Alek Krstic

A driver who died when his car left the road near Bewdley was named today.

Alek Krstic, aged 60, of Birmingham Road, Kidderminster, was behind the wheel of a yellow Peugeot 107 which went through a hedge and ended up in a field near the Plough Inn on Cleobury Road in Far Forest at 8.20am yesterday.

Mr Krstic was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. A post-mortem was taking place today.

Anyone who saw the car in the moments before the tragedy should ring Pc Richard Watkins at Rubery police station on 101, quoting reference number 95-S-191212.
