Richard Deakin gun killing trial jury retires

The jury in the trial of two men accused of gunning down a Staffordshire businessman in his home has retired to consider its verdicts.

Father-of-two Richard Deakin, who ran a Walsall skip hire firm, was shot in bed on July 5, 2010, in Meadway Street, Burntwood.

David Harrison, aged 63 of Rainbow Street, is accused of being the gunman, and Darryl Dickens, 34 of Powell Place, both Bilston, of being the getaway driver.

Both deny murder.
