London Midland railway services hold-ups

More than 90 train services run by London Midland were being disrupted today - ahead of a new timetable being introduced tomorrow that bosses hope will put an end to the problems.

Hundreds of trains have been cancelled by London Midland, which runs services through the Black Country and Staffordshire, since the start of October due to staff shortages.

Among trains being cancelled today are a number of services from Lichfield City Station including the 3.43pm train to Longbridge and the 8.49pm service from Wolverhampton to Birmingham New Street.
