New recruits are also needed to work on the animal reserves and in the admissions department.

Hundreds of hopefuls are expected to apply for the highly sought-after posts when the attraction's recruitment website launches on December 18.

A further 150 jobs will become available between April and July to boost staff numbers for the holiday season.

Both full and part-time staff are needed to help cover peak periods at the park.

Human resources manager Michelle Gale said: "We have been working on an upgraded staff induction and training package for the past three months.

"This has now been completed and our departments are very pleased with the results. We are sure that all new starters will benefit from enhanced training and gain invaluable work experience.

"Once our jobs website goes live it will be a very busy time for us as we gather job applications between Christmas and the New Year break."
