Car stolen in Kidderminster as owner goes back into house

A car was stolen when the owner left it running on his drive while he popped into his home.

West Mercia Police are now reminding people not to leave their cars unattended with engines running after yesterday's theft, which happened in Beeches Road, Kidderminster at about 8.20am.

The owner left his maroon Citroen Xsara – registration S446 EGT – on the drive with the engine running while he went inside the house and, during that time, a man got into the car and drove it away.

Anyone with information about the stolen car should call Pc Sarah Bytheway on 101, quoting incident reference 64-S-031212, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
