Two women cut free after car smash in Tipton

Firefighters cut the roof off a car following a crash which left three women injured.

The collision happened between two cars at the junction of Castle Road and Dudley Road in Tipton at around 1.30pm on Saturday. Fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.

They found two women in a Ford Ka and one woman in a Vauxhall Corsa. Fire crews cut the roof off the Ford Ka to free the occupants.

The woman in the Corsa was trapped for 45 minutes.

The ambulance service said all three women, who are believed to be in their mid-20s, suffered back and neck injuries.

They were taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
